Under the patronage of King Mohammed VI M.S., 9th Elec Expo, 4th EneR Event & 3rd Tronica Expo held from 12 to 15 October 2016 at the Casablanca International Fairgrounds. Organized by the National Federation of Electricity, Electronics and Renewable Energies FENELEC and co-organizer Forum 7, the 2016 edition of Global Fair of FENELEC was a great success since having drained no less than 7133 professional visitors from 33 different nationalities.
On an exhibition space of over 7,000 m², 205 exhibitors from 17 countries presented their expertise, reflecting an international character of the show.
Fully supported by the Ministry of Foreign Trade, exhibitions have received assistance from Maroc Export whose proximity actions enabled 15 young coaching exporters in 2016 and also promote the success of the organization of B to B meetings with the gleefully number exceeded 500.

High place of exposition of the technical and scientific innovations and window of know-how, the potentialities and the African needs, this 2016 edition in particular strongly contributed to the energizing of the South-South exchanges with the delegations of Africa, Algeria, Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Ivory Coast, Egypt, Gabon, Gambia, Guinea Conakry, Guinea Equatorial, Kenya, Mali, Mauritania, Niger, Nigeria, Centers Africa Republic, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Senegal, Tanzania, Chad, Togo and Tunisia.
The Republic of Mali, honored in this edition, assured remarkable presence on an institutional stand hosted by the Vice President of the Bamako Chamber of Commerce and by leading a conference on the potential and the energy programme of Mali.
Moreover, Morocco being the only country on the continent to be connected to the European network, Elec Expo, EneR Event & Tronica Expo also had a strong European presence, particularly the trio France-Spain-Portugal without omitting that of Germany, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Russia and Turkey.
Elec Expo, EneR Event & Tronica Expo lived up to its role for meetings and exchange between internationally renowned speakers, professionals, institutional investors and bankers to discuss the theme of industrial development as real economic growth driver.

The 2016 edition of Elec Expo, EneR Event & Expo Tronica ended with the launch of an ambitious project.
Aware that the state alone cannot fill the gap for electrification in remote areas and convinced of the potential role of civil society in this area due to its proximity with the natives, the idea of setting up a structure that would meet the different needs, more than ever especially as it was considered that the holding of this fair is the auspicious occasion is unique to pool all wills that can contribute to achieving this noble project.
Therefore, the call for the creation of the Foundation for the electrification of Africa was launched October 15, 2016 and collected more than 600 signatures of entrepreneurs of all stripes.
The Foundation's mission is to contribute to the electrification programs, promote renewable energy on the continent, supporting the education of children in remote areas and consolidate African leadership in the power sector.
To achieve these goals, the Foundation will work primarily for the pooling of resources and skills, awareness of local bodies and the search for funding sources, local and international.
